SPC Robin Fell

Army Sgt. Robin V. Fell, 22, of Shreveport, Louisiana, died May 19, 2005, from sniper fire while conducting dismounted combat operations in Baghdad.  Sgt. Fell was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 156th Armor Regiment, 256th Brigade Combat Team, Louisiana Army National Guard. He had planned to return to Centenary College of Louisiana to complete a degree in business and psychology. He was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church. The oldest of six children, Sgt. Fell was an avid triathlete in a family often referred to as “the running Fells.” He also loved to fish, hunt, read, and laugh with his friends and family. His parents are educators. His mother, Katherine Fell, is now president of the University of Findlay in Ohio. At the time of her son’s death, she was a faculty member and administrator at Centenary College, where he was a freshman. His father, Roger Fell, now retired in Findlay, Ohio, was a high school teacher in Shreveport public schools at the time.
